Man Wins Lawsuit Over "Bin Laden" Jokes
An Arab man in Swedan has been awarded $16,000 by a court after he filed a lawsuit against his employer for letting colleagues continue calling calling him "Osama bin Laden." The Svenska Dagbladet reported that he had been harassed by his workmates and managers, who also called him "terrorist" and "damned Arab,"
The case had found that the employer was aware of the harrassment but did nothing to stop it.
3-Year-Old Driver Hits Man
A New Zealand man was hit by a runaway car, driven by a 3 year- old, while he was mowing his front lawn. Terry Mattsen was pinned underneath the car driven by his next door neighbour's
son, Angus who had climbed into the car and knocked it out of gear. Police are not going to press any charges.
Teenager Hit By Flying Goose
A teenager from Winnipeg was surprised when a goose which was flying low, hit him and knocked him off his skateboard. The teenager, Shawn Hacking was hit in the face by the goose as the goose was heading towards a pond and misjudged his landing spot. The boy suffered many injuries, including both of his knees badly scraped, his shirt was ripped, his wrist was sprained and there was a red mark on his face where the goose had hit him. Hacking's friend said, " It was so funny, but I felt sorry for him at the same time. It flew out of nowhere and then... wham bam!"
5 Years Behind Bars For Killer Zookeeper
A Chinese zookeeper has been sent to prison for five years by a Chinese court killing rare animals as an act of revenge against his boss. Wang Deyi, 44, guilty of used rat poison to kill five deer and two Malay bears -- all rare or endangered species -- at the zoo where he worked. He also poisoned a rare leopard which survived. According to Chinese law, rare and endangered animals are protected by the state, whether they live in the wild or in captivity.
